Therapists on Tour

Professional massage therapist Alastair Bishop is a man of many talents. Caroline Tiler-Ansell is an award winning advanced complementary healthcare practitioner. Offering a wide range of treatments including aromatherapy, Swedish and sports massage, Indian head and seated massage, Reflexology and Reiki taster sessions at a number of fetes and galas around Calderdale this summer, the pair are bringing wellbeing and therapies to the wider community, to enable more people to experience a range of affordable treatments.

The tour takes in:-

• Brodstock Music Festival, Old Brodleans Rugby Club in Hipperholme, near Halifax, Saturday 18th June 11.30 till late (in aid of Overgate Hospice);

• Cragg Vale School fundraising evening, Thursday 23rd June from 7.00;

• Mytholmroyd Gala Saturday 25th June,(part of the Hebden Bridge Alternative Christmas, as the normal December Christmas was flooded out), from 12.00; (Focusing on the Mytholmroyd celebrations allows wellbeing and therapies to be delivered away from the memories of Boxing Day which were traumatic and might be re-awakened during the festivities)

• Heptonstall Festival, Saturday 2nd July;

• Cragg Vale Artisans Market, Monday 29th August, Hincliffe Arms car park in Cragg Vale, from 12.00

• Blackshaw Head fete, Saturday 4th September, from 12.00

Tasters include Back-and-shoulder massage, Indian Head Massage, Reflexology and Reiki, for just £5. As one of their Facebook chums wrote, “It’s a fiver well spent”!

Existing clients consist of competition winning body builders, rugby legends, international weight lifters, runners, cyclists, archers, boxers, footballers, yoga teachers, models, swimmers and many, many more. When not on the road, Caroline and Alastair can be found at the Down 2 Earth Centre in Hebden Bridge, manning drop-ins, delivering workshops and providing the most relaxing and result-producing complementary therapies in town.
